Postponed Matches Football Programmes

One area of football programmes that has gained considerable interest of late, is the collecting of football programmes for matches that were called off. As the football club have their football programmes printed days in advance of the match, when the weather or any other incident forces the cancellation of the match, the programme is already for dispatch, various courses over the years have been taken, on some occasions the complete print run are destroyed, while even when this happens some still manage to get into the public domain. Another popular practice especially in the 70”s was to save the print run and use them when the game was re-arranged and just use a insert for the new game.

Tip : When buying a football programme from a postponed game, make sure a new football programme was produced for the re arranged date, as some clubs used the original programme and just added an insert for the re-arranged fixture.
