2007, the year that the FA Cup Final returned to Wembley and 89,826 fans turned up to see Chelsea beat Manchester United by a solitary goal, that was scored in extra-time.

The victory gave Chelsea the cup double (League Cup and FA Cup) only achieved by Arsenal (1993) and Liverpool (2001).

Chelsea were the last team to win the FA Cup at the old Wembley in 2000, so it was rather apt that they were the first winners at the new stadium.

With the score at 0-0 after ninety minutes, extra time was played and the deadlock was finally broken after 116 minutes when Drogba played a one-two with Lampard on the edge of the box after receiving the ball from John Obi Mikel, and prodded the ball past the onrushing van der Sar and into the net.
